Writing a book is a lot like having a kid. Actually, I don’t have children, so it’s possible there aren’t any real similarities save one. And that is a sense of pride when your child—sorry, your book—does something especially well, like win an award.
And that’s just what’s happened to Heal Your Broken Heart, which has been named an International Book Awards Finalist. That deserves an exclamation point – ! – and a round of applause, I should think.
